Soludo Urges SEDC to Focus on Rail Network Connecting State Capitals

The Governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Soludo, has advised the South East Development Commission (SEDC) to concentrate on one major project at a time to ensure meaningful progress.
Governor Soludo gave this advice on Friday when he welcomed the newly appointed members of the commission, led by its Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Emeka Nworgu, at the Governor’s Lodge in Awka.
He urged the commission to focus its efforts over the next five years, stressing the need for effective execution of projects that truly benefit the people.
“We should not waste this opportunity. The commission should adopt a single major agenda, such as developing a rail network to connect all state capitals in the South East. Complete that project first before moving to the next one,” Soludo said.
He warned against trying to handle too many projects at once, which could lead to unfinished or abandoned projects.
“If you try to achieve 50 different things at the same time, resources will be spread too thin, and in five years, there may be little to show for it.
“Instead, let’s set a clear goal now. In five years, we should be able to tell the people of the South East that we successfully completed one major project that made a real impact,” he added.
